Cat worming is the process of deworming your cats. Getting rid of worms in your cats is important. You will find in this article a short description of the types of parasitic worms that you need to get rid of.

Cat worming is a must for all responsible pet owners. Cat worming and the required vaccinations is what a veterinarian will do when you bring your cat for his/her first clinic visit. Cat worms are a health risk and can contaminate other cats and people. Reports reveal that six out of ten cats in the United Kingdom have worms. A problem is that unlike dogs, it is difficult to know whether your cat has worms unless it is already severe. The two major types of worms that cats get are roundworms and tapeworms. The roundworms and tapeworms infecting cats are normally picked up when cats goes hunting and ingest their prey like rodents and birds. Cat worming must be done on a regular basis with your veterinarian to prevent re-infestation. The following are the two most typical worms that afflict cats in the United Kingdom.

Roundworm – a coil-like spaghetti that is curled up inside the intestines of the cat; roundworms live off the cat’s food in their intestines resulting in the cat looking emaciated but with a pot belly; roundworms can grow up to four inches and dozens can live inside the cat’s intestines; it is common for cats afflicted with roundworms to have diarrhoea and vomiting; this worm can contaminate other cats and humans in the household; if a cat is not treated, it can eventually die because of malnutrition; the two most common cat roundworms in the United Kingdom are “toxocara cati” and “toxascaris leonina;” treatment for roundworms is Drontal for cats and Panacur; there are multiwormers for cats over six months of age;

Tapeworm – a long flat-like ribbon divided into segments; looks like rice kernels in the faeces of the cat; a segment of a mature tapeworm is filled with eggs and may pass the cat’s anus infecting the environment; unlike a roundworm, a tapeworm needs a host immediately like a flea tapeworm to survive; when the cat eats the flea, than the cat will be infected with the tapeworm egg and eventually become an adult worm; tapeworms can grow up to two feet long; the tapeworm will lodge onto the cat’s intestines; the tapeworm feeds on the cat’s blood; symptoms of a cat with tapeworms are abdominal pain and an increase of food intake; humans can get infected from the tapeworm of cats; treatment for tapeworms is Drontal cat wormer and Droncit.

What is the difference in playing and fighting with the cats?
Cats that are not familiar with each other can be fighting and not playing. Dominant of one cat to another, screaming, hissing continuously during what looks like the playing are signs of fighting. In addition, if a cat gets hurt, this is a signs cats are not playing. This is a sign of your cats are really fighting. This is important to learn and get additional information about especially if your cat is an outdoors cat and encounters another cat. You will be able to tell if fighting or playing is going on. Leaving your cat outside and not know the playing for fighting can have effects on your cat’s behaviors and stability for going outside again.
Distraction is the best way to separate fighting cats. With any type of interfering can cause pain to both you and the cats. Make a loud noise, firm voice, cats do not like loud noises this is a good way. Have spray bottles handy to use. Cats do not like to be sprayed with water and this will stop them. Once they have stop immediately separate the cats with close doors so they are not able to see each other. This aggression will need to be dealt with carefully. Allowing cats to continue to fight will end up with a cat being hurt and with fighting; this could cause diseases in the cats. This will become expensive with having to take the cat to the veterinarian for medication and some time stays at the vets for care and treatment.
Cat play is a natural for a cat and you should not interfere with the playing. Exposing other actives for the cats can help with the playing, when the playing seem to get to intense. Have plenty of toys for the cats to play with, their own scratch post, or their own area to play in.
With multi cats in a home, you will want to create an environment for each cat to have a place to feel comfortable. Some cats are able to adapt to other cats in the home and share. With different breeds and natures of the cat, will also depend on the cats being able to share one area. There are cat breeds that are just naturally a single pet and will not fit in the home with the presents of other cats or dogs around. These types of cats will have high stress and quick aggression towards other cats. You can get more information on the type of breeds that will live together and those that need their space. There are plenty of books and internet sites for you to check out.
Hitting your cats will not accomplish any thing; this will make your cat fear you, as this will lead to no communication with your cat. Training will be impossible, as communication is the most important thing when training your cat. Physical punishment to any animal is never a good thing to any animal. Remember your cat is a companion and a friend. We, as humans, would never physical or mentally hurt our love ones or friends.
Remember if the cats are not fighting and are just playing with each other, this is a sign of good communication with each other. Allowing the communication to continue will help the relationship with the cats and with you. Communication is a great tool when trying to train your cat.

Each year dozens of people who live in Mission Viejo, California, become dog bite victims. Across the United States, almost 5,000,000 people are bitten or attacked by dogs and 334,000 dog bite and dog attack victims require emergency medical treatment.

Most Mission Viejo dog bite and dog attack victims are not aware of the fact that on a daily basis, more than 1,000 dog bite and dog attack victims are treated in hospital emergency rooms such as Mission Viejo Medical Center and Saddleback Hospital. About 15-20 of these dog bite attacks result in death.

Dog bites and dog attacks result in approximately 44,000 facial injuries each year with the face and hands being the most injured body parts. This represents more than 1,000 emergency room visits each day.

Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States seeks medical attention for a dog bite. Most of the Mission Viejo dog bite and dog attack victims are children and nationally, children are injured more than anyone else (about 60 percent of all dog bite or dog attack victims). Male patients slightly outnumber females.

Mission Viejo’s dog bite and dog attack figures add to the approximate 800,000 dog bites per year in the United States that require medical treatment. With the victims who are children, most of them are bitten on the face. And also as in Mission Viejo, about 70 percent of dog bites occur on the owner’s property or in a victimÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€ Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Â ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€ Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Â¦Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¡ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€ Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢ÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¬ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Â¦Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¾ÃƒÆ’Ã†â€™ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…Â¡ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â¢s neighborhood.

Strict liability law provides that the Mission Viejo dog bite owner is liable for the damages suffered by any Mission Viejo resident who is bitten by the dog while in a public place or lawfully in a private place located in Mission Viejo. This includes the dog owner’s property located in Mission Viejo, regardless of the prior viciousness of the dog or the owner’s knowledge of that viciousness. Contrary to what many people believe, there is no one bite rule in Mission Viejo or California in general.

In Mission Viejo, a person who keeps or has control of an animal (including a dog) may be held liable under the dangerous animal rule and for negligence for all sustained injuries and damages to other Mission Viejo residents. This may apply even if the dog is partly under the care of others.

It is important to note that more than half of all dog bite and dog attack victims in Mission Viejo are children who are usually attacked in the face. For every fatal dog bite in the United States, there are about 230,000 bites that are not treated by a physician. Most Mission Viejo dog bite victims fail to seek medical attention at either Mission Hospital or Saddleback Hospital.

About 40 percent of all Mission Viejo residents own at least one dog and this figure also applies to other cities across America. This means that there are more than 55 million dogs in the United States. And in Mission Viejo, a majority of dog bite attacks happen at home or at a neighbors house in the presence of family and friends.

In Mission Viejo, Rottweillers and Pit Bulls lead the pack in numbers when it comes to dog bite maiming and deaths. Eight out of ten dog bites in Mission Viejo involve a male dog. In the United States, dog bite and dog attack related losses exceed billion dollars per year!

When it comes to representing Mission Viejo dog bite victims, we normally investigate all facts of the dog bite or dog attack and interview all involved people and witnesses. We contact the local Mission Viejo or Orange County health department to confirm or obtain dog owner information. We also obtain dog license and vaccination history from Orange County and Mission Viejo dog bite agencies.
